About

Our Story

American Timber and Agriculture is an institutional investment management firm. In 2017, we purchased Mitchell Forestry & Wildlife Services, based in Corinth, Mississippi. Mitchell Forestry was started in 1997 by John Mitchell, a veteran forestry professional formerly of Tennessee River Pulp and Paper Company (today Packaging Corporation of America). In 2018, we opened our second Mitchell Forestry office location in Lucedale, Mississippi (near Mobile, Alabama). Today, Mitchell Forestry , under the leadership of Jay Mitchell, employs five licensed professional foresters with over 130 years experience, who manage and consult on approximately 130,000 acres in Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.
